what is the best way to freeze whole chickens w/out using the food sealer (s)?

he have approx 95 chickens we slaughter so we need something that is good to freeze them in but fairly cheap. i have thought about just using plain old freezer paper for all of them instead of using the bags. some other thoughts i have were: wrapping in freezer paper, poly bags, 5 lbs meat bags, ziplock bags (they are quite big enough), butcher paper. i dont know what works the best

1. I use the Jumbo size Ziplock..Just push as much air out as you can....then Zip...I find this is the best in preventing freezer burn...Sherry N..
2. You just brought back so many memories! My parents used to go out and buy as many as 50 chickens at a time for us to slaughter at home. We always used any kind of plastic bag handy (this was before the fancy bags were available). Bread bags were cheap and free so that was what we used a lot of times. Mom would on occasion wrap them in wax paper before she stuck them in the bread wrapper.
