Could mass Vacuum packing of liquids have an effect on Global Warming?

Is water not removed from the water cycle when it is sealed in bottles, jars, etc? If so, I would have thought that by sealing water from the environment, its cooling effects in the atmosphere are also removed- especially at the rate our society uses vacuum packing! Do we require a breathable way of storing liquids?

  1. do you really think we could vaccuum-pack ENOUGH water to make a difference in the water cycle? Thats borderline impossible. And, it's not water that has the cooling effects on the atmosphere, its the sun- or lack of it in some places. Water is only a tiny variable on the temperature of the atmosphere- this effect is called adiabatic cooling. Its the cooling effect that evaporation produces. (think why you get cooler when you are wet- its the evaporation that cools you off). So, the answer to your question is most certainly no.
  2. There have been several ice ages - which I assume must have been followed by global warming. Do you really think that by packaging water differently or by using a different deodorant will change that? Have you considered that this particular global warming is just Mother Natures routine?
  3. I think since the volume vacuum packed is so low that it will not make that much of a difference, however they plants require energy to operate, which if produced by fossil fuels could add to global warming.
